Rittal SV-Plan version 1.8 PC software program for

Windows 95/98 NT (network compatible).



Knowledge of anticipated short-circuits and the busbar

system configuration operating ratings is the

imperative requisite for the safe installation and

operation of the switchgear, including the downstream

operating equipment.

A short-circuit resistance certificate must be produced

after testing the interpolation as per DIN VDE 0660

Part 500 or IEC 60 439-1, i.e. by calculating the value

series determined from the interim values generated by

type-testing as per DIN VDE 0103/IEC 60 865-1.



The Power-Plan PC software will not only help you with

the type-testing results but it will also help you with

the calculation process stipulated in DIN VDE 0103/IEC

60 865-1.

In addition to this, Power-Plan will also calculate the

rated current load limit for the cross-section that is

being used based on DIN 43 671. It will also calculate

the existing busbar power loss and the rating of the

fuses that have to be used (VDE 0363) for the current

rating. Using the stored standard power switch (motor

circuit-breakers) data, i.e. for Klckner-Moeller and

Siemens components or the stored short-circuit

resistance diagrams, will ensure more efficient

planning.

A summarising evaluation of the busbar systems as per

the regulations laid down in:

DIN VDE 0660, Part 500/IEC 60 439-1

DIN VDE 0103 / IEC 60 865-1

DIN 43 671

DIN VDE 0636

with regard to

- mechanical short-circuit resistance

- thermal short-circuit resistance

Rated current load, operating thermal rating and the

power loss will also be determined.
