Text for tenders: High Performance Package HPP3 (DK 7337.530)

High Performance Package HPP3 (DK 7337.530)

Completely pre-configured enclosure system with

protection category IP 54 for use as server rack as

well as in mixed applications with active network

technology in industrial environments.

The frame used is torsionally stiff.

The rack is equipped with power distribution, UPS unit

and an enclosure monitoring system. For active climate

control a bayed LCP (Liquid Cooling Package) is used.

Frame:

Symmetrical frame construction of rolled

16-fold vertical hollow sections with integral system

punching on a 25 mm DIN pitch pattern. All sections

have chamfered edges. The vertical frame sections have

two depth-recessed mounting levels.

Doors:

Glazed front door and sheet steel rear door.

A locking bar with four-point latching locks doors.

Comfort handle with security lock 3524 E at front.

A semi-cylinder (40/45 mm) to DIN 18254 is possible.

The rear door (with mounted cooling unit) is equipped

with a swivel handle and security lock 3524 E,

right-hand hinging, with captive hinge pins.

Door hinging may be swapped from right to left

without dismantling locking rods,

door opening angle 130

Roof and base:

The roof plate is solid. The base has gland plates,

with rubber cable clamp strip for cable entry.

The 100 mm high base/plinth is solid at the

front and equipped with a brush strip at the rear.

The side panels are screw-fastened to ensure the

protection category of the enclosure. All

screw-fastened cover parts with automatic potential

equalisation and prepared for the attachment of earth

straps.

The water-cooled air from the LCP is directed at the

front in front of the 482.6 mm (19") level and re-fed

to the LCP via fans at the rear.

Interior installation:

482.6 mm (19") mounting frame mounted at

front and rear, with square 482.6 mm (19") punching to

EIA 310-D. The frames are infinitely depth-adjustable.

Maximum static load capacity of 482.6 mm (19")

mounting angle: 1000 kg.

Technical equipment:

Power distribution: The modular system is a basic

configuration with two vertical support rails made

from Aluminium and three-phase power supply possible.

For each support rail a second power supply is

designed that makes it possible to configure the

system with redundancy. Thanks to the vertical support

rail the slots can be used over the entire enclosure

height and supplied redundantly (e.g. by an USP) by

the second separate power supply.

Socket modules can be locked into position in the

support rail. Due to the contact hazard protected

design of the busbar it is not necessary to equip all

slots with socket modules. 2 modules (1x C13 6-way IEC

and 1 x 4-way earthing-pin) are installed. Additional

socket modules are available in different country

versions, e.g. IEC320 C13, earthing-pin, F/B, CH, USA,

UK. All modules can be mixed in the bar.

UPS:

This rack is suitable for 3 UPS models with 2+1

redundancy. The triple rack comprises enclosure,

batteries and power distribution of up to 60 kW. In

addition, the static bypasses have already been

integrated. 2x16kW modules are pre-configured. The UPS

modules are suitable for use inside the Rittal PMC

rack (PMC Power Modular Concept) and support standard

battery types. It is a transformer-free, real online,

double conversion UPS with static bypass. The use of a

booster instead of a transformer enables not only a

more compact design but also better efficiency and

results in a reduction of operating costs. Each UPS

module has an own operating panel and CPU as well as a

power module and static bypass. This decentral

parallel architecture (DPA) ensures a highest possible

availability by "real" redundancy. Due to their own

intelligence the modules can be integrated when

operating. The plant can be extended at any time and

the modularity ensures an easy adjustment to customer

specifications and high investment reliability.

Batteries with an autonomy time of 7 + 7 minutes are

also included. The operating state of each module is

shown via a separate display in the front door.

Additional modules can be integrated when operating

without prior switching to bypass (hot swappable). The

12-way sub-distributor is designed for use in

conjunction with the modular UPS. The server racks can

be directly connected with DK 7857.1XX by plug & play

technology. Cables are not included in the supply.

Different lengths are available as standard. A SNMP

insert card is integrated in the UPS control unit. All

operating parameters of the UPS system can be

retrieved via a web interface. 1 RCCMD software

licence is supplied. Thus it is possible to control

the shutdown of 1 server in case of current

interruption. Further licences can be acquired.

Cooling:

Rittal LCP air/water heat exchanger

The cooling output of the air/water heat exchangers

can be extended step by step up to 20 kW due to the

modular configuration. By using optional quick-release

fasteners the air/water heat exchanger can be

retrofitted when operating with additional modules

(e.g. to increase the cooling output). The air/water

heat exchanger is mounted at the side of the rack.

The cold air supply ensures constant cooling of the

482.6 mm (19") equipment. Even when the enclosure

doors are open (e.g. for maintenance purposes)

cooling continues.

Air/water heat exchanger and server rack are

located separately. A condensate and leakage

management is integrated and water connection can be

routed externally towards the bottom or the rear.

Network integration for monitoring / adjustment of all

technical parameters is possible.

Enclosure monitoring system:

Modular configured system that is equipped with

temperature sensor and access control.

A monitoring unit is connected to the monitoring

system for monitoring the cooling.

The system has an integral webserver, the

transmission protocol is TCP/IP and SNMP.

Configuration and retrieval can be made via http and

Telnet.

For monitoring, free management software is available.

The system can also be connected to other applications

via the MIB supplied.

Further sensor units can be integrated to extend the

system. As an option a failure message can be

transferred or retrieved via GSM, ISDN or analogue

modem.

Passivated shunting rings, foamed rubber (2x2000 mm)

for vertical sealing and cable lock for IEC socket are

supplied loose as additional accessories.
