- The modular system facilitates basic configuration of the racks, thanks to a vertical support rail with single-/3-phase infeed. The various socket modules to supply the active components may be snap-fitted into the support rail. This can even be done whilst the system is operational, because the support section is shock hazard-protected.

Power System Module busbar for 47 U racks,

The modular system allows basic equipment of each rack
with a vertical busbar and three-phase infeed.
A second infeed is provided per busbar enabling the
system to be redundant. Due to the vertical
arrangement the slots may be used over the entire
enclosure height and the second separate infeed
ensures redundant supply. Socket modules may be
snapped into the busbar and thanks to the
shock-hazard-protected design it is not necessary to
equip all slots with socket modules. Socket modules
are available in various country versions, e.g. IEC
320 C13, earthing pin, F/B, CH, USA, UK. All modules
may be mixed in the busbar. 8 socket modules may be
inserted per 2.20m of bar. Up to 48 slots are
available with IEC 320 modules.
Installation via the plug & play system:
The busbar may be retrofitted with the mounting kit DK
7856.011 in all Rittal TS / PS racks. Power is
supplied via a 5-pole connection socket with a tension
spring system. The socket modules may be retrofitted
whilst operational.
Technical equipment:
The three-phase construction with max. 3x16 A per
circuit. Two separate circuits per support rail. The
redundant circuit 2 is completely potentially separate
from circuit 1. The connection direction of the socket
modules allows you to select either circuit 1 or
circuit 2. Socket modules may be retrofitted whilst
the system is operational. Each module optionally with
/ without integral miniature circuit-breaker.
