Energy efficiency

Speed up your journey to carbon-neutral manufacturing

We show you where you can make improvements to your equipment and systems and help you with customised solutions to support you in becoming more energy-efficient and measurably reduce your CO2 emissions. For example, by installing the cooling units and chillers from our Blue e+ range to verifiably reduce your energy consumption by 75 per cent on average. These significant savings in energy costs result in very short payback periods and also lower maintenance costs. As a provider of comprehensive all-in-one solutions, we will find the right product and service formula for your specific requirements. After all, we’re here for you.

Up to 150,000 euros in government funding

The Federal Environment Ministry is funding and initiating climate protection projects throughout Germany with its National Climate Initiative (NKI). To ensure we can give you the best possible advice on the application process and help you benefit as much as possible from access to state subsidies, we work very closely with a partner who specialises in applications for state funding.

The following white paper explains further how you can secure government funding.

F-gas compliant with Rittal

Regulation (EU) No. 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-Gas Regulation) has been in effect since 1 January 2015. The aim of the F-Gas Regulation is to achieve a 79 per cent cut in the consumption of F-gases, expressed in CO2 equivalents, by 2030. The regulation raises several questions about bans on the use of refrigeration and climate control systems as well as new regulations for maintaining and servicing them. As a certified specialist, we will gladly help you comply with the statutory guidelines.

Blue e+: More performance. Less CO2.

A company’s carbon footprint is derived from direct emissions generated by its use of fossil fuels, but also from indirect emissions. Significantly reduce your carbon footprint now by using the cooling units or chillers from our Blue e+ range.

  • Reduce your energy consumption by an average of 75 per cent
  • Short payback period
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Compliant with F-Gas Regulation, even when the next phase of the regulation comes into force
  • Faster route to carbon-neutral production

Ford shifts up a gear with Rittal

After experiencing multiple plant stoppages within a single year due to defective cooling units, the Ford engine plant in Cologne was pleased that Rittal carried out an efficiency and service check. The service specialists at Rittal conducted their analysis, and the results were remarkable – 11 per cent of the cooling units installed were in urgent need of repair or replacement. The comprehensive energy efficiency calculation revealed a potential to save over 552,000 euros as well as reduce CO2 emissions by a good 267 metric tons within ten years. It also highlighted a payback period of just 2.4 years for the investment in replacing 150 cooling units with Rittal Blue e and Blue e+ units. These were key arguments for Ford to then have this same analysis carried out at their other plants. Be like Ford and hit the ground running Rittal. It will certainly be worth your while.
