AX/KX conversion tool

Conversion tool for compact enclosures AX and small enclosures KX

Millions of small and compact enclosures from Rittal are currently being used around the globe. The new AX and KX series offer countless advantages for users. Rittal offers a variety of tools to help them convert their applications to the new series as easily as possible and reap the benefits of seamless data.

The new AX compact enclosures and KX small enclosures offer versions to suit every user task. 30 percent less assembly time, 30 percent more space for cables and 30 new functions – these are the principal advantages of the new series.

Convert parts lists easily

Rittal offers various support options to make it as simple as possible for customers to switch to the new small and compact enclosures. One of these is an online conversion assistant (www.rittal.de/ct-axkx) based on Excel parts lists. Users upload an existing parts list, say from an existing project, onto the website and receive a converted parts list showing the new AX and KX components.

For users who use the Eplan Data Portal for their projects, there is another user-friendly option using the new shopping basket function. Simply upload an entire project parts list into the shopping basket of the Data Portal. All Rittal components including the relevant macros for the new enclosures and compact enclosures will then be available in your component database. This is much faster than an individual download.

Migration tool in the Rittal Configuration System

Customers who configure their enclosures and compact enclosures with the Rittal Configuration System now have access to a convenient conversion assistant as well. The configurator uses sets of rules that are stored electronically. A plausibility check prevents incorrect or unsuitable accessories from being displayed in the first place.

Machining of cut-outs for fan-and-filter units, for example, is likewise set up directly in the Rittal Configuration System. Users who have already configured projects in this way can simply upload their existing configuration into the new migration tool. When the tool is launched, a traffic light system provides a rapid overview. Green means that all essential components have been transferred into the new configuration. Amber means users should check their configurations. For example, this might mean that cut-outs previously positioned in the centre of the door need to be moved slightly due to different dimensions. Red means that the plausibility check in the Rittal Configuration System has identified some problems. This usually refers to clashes between components. With just a few mouse clicks, the user can correct the configuration and embellish it where necessary. As well as a 3D model of the new AX compact enclosure or KX small enclosure, a parts list and programs for the machine tools will also be available for downloading.
