Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & Delivery

You need to have placed your order before 2pm and make sure that you have selected the correct date. Please be aware that we cannot offer Next Day delivery to Northern Ireland or any other offshore regions.

Deliveries to a BT post code take 3-4 working days as standard. We will require an EORI code to complete the necessary documentation prior to shipping, unless you have already provided this on a previous order.

This means that your order has left our warehouse and is either with our carrier or has been delivered. An invoice will be generated 24hrs after delivery is completed.

If you paid for your order in advance, the order would become visible once payment has cleared. If you have placed an order for a modified product (Special Build) the order will be visible once it is ready to ship.

Documentation

You can access all documents related to your orders in the ‘Order History’ menu. Click on an order to open it, and you will see the list of documents to the right-hand side, including Order Confirmation, Proforma Invoice (if applicable) Delivery Note and Invoice.

Quotations and Discounts

Head to the ‘Overview’ page and open the ‘Quotation History’ menu. You will see a list of your company’s online quotes displayed. Once you select and open one, you will have the option to add this to the cart. Please note that only quotes created online can be accessed in this way. Quotations for services, software, and custom builds are not available online.

If you have received an online quotation, the PDF document will include instructions on how to apply the discount. If you have agreed a one-time or project discount for your orders, please enter the quotation or project reference into the Delivery Instructions when placing your order. Our processing team will amend your order and send you confirmation of the new total.

To discuss potential project and quantity discounts, contact CSD@rittal.co.uk to be put in touch with your Rittal Area Sales Manager.

Payment & Billing

We are planning to introduce online payments soon, until then all new customer accounts are provided with a basic credit limit.

If your cart total exceeds your current credit limit, please contact us to discuss either increasing your limit or using an alternative method of payment.

Please note that we may require a valid quotation, or a PDF download of your current shopping cart to determine the level of credit required.  All applications are subject to approval by our credit insurers.

Send your request to: accounts@rittal.co.uk

Adding items to the Shopping Cart

Navigate to the shopping cart - at the top of the page you will see various options that allow you to import a list of products, or to load a saved shopping cart from your ‘Wishlist’s’. Please ensure that your document uses numerical values, for example ‘2’ instead of ‘two’ when entering quantities.

Download Cart (PDF) creates a document showing part codes and prices at the time of download. It has no validity period and can be used for reference, pricing exercises, or creating a Purchase Order if you prefer not to order online

Request a Quotation sends your cart to our Customer Services team to create a formal quotation, which will appear in your Quotation History. Standard quotations are valid for 30 days and may include agreed discounts. Quotations are linked to your Rittal account and can be viewed by your Area Sales Manager and your colleagues if needed.

Main difference: A downloaded PDF is for reference only, while a quotation is a formal offer with a validity period and any applicable discounts.

Enter the part code manually into the shopping cart. Discontinued and obsolete part codes will prompt you with the new part code, which you can then either view as a catalogue page or add to the cart.

Please be aware that some older parts will no longer feature on our website – please contact us to discuss the current alternative: csd@rittal.co.uk

If your company part codes have been mapped to the corresponding Rittal products, you can enter them directly into the shopping cart to add items. However, customer part codes cannot be used in the website search bar.

If you would like to set up your company part codes, please send a list to myshop@rittal.co.uk, including the correct Rittal part number for each.

Please note that we cannot accept part codes that:

  • Match more than one Rittal product
  • Refer to customised products, services or software
