Rittal is pleased to announce our participation in the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (EWPTE) 2026, the premier trade show dedicated to wire harness, cable processing, and automation solutions, where we will be presenting our Rittal Automation Systems (RAS) machines.
The event takes place May 5–7, 2026, at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, bringing together thousands of industry professionals, manufacturers, and technology experts from across the wire and cable processing ecosystem.
Experience Automated Wire Processing on the Show Floor
At EWPTE, Rittal will demonstrate how modern automation and digital engineering work together to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in wire processing operations.
Visitors to the Rittal booth will see live demonstrations of the RAS Wire Terminal Machine, an automated solution engineered for precise cutting, stripping, crimping, and ferruling. Designed to help manufacturers reduce manual effort and improve repeatability, the Wire Terminal Machine plays a key role in streamlining control panel and wire harness production.
The next step in production is through the RAS Wire Station WS 540, an ergonomic, mobile wiring workstation designed to support efficient, fatigue‑free manual wiring. This machine partners with the Wire Terminal to seamlessly complement automated wire processing with the digital workflows from Eplan.
Alongside Rittal’s automation technology, attendees will also see the Brady Wraptor™ wire labeling system in action. Known for its fast, accurate print-and-apply performance, the Wraptor helps eliminate labeling errors while significantly reducing processing time—an essential advantage in high-mix, low-volume production environments.
See Digital Engineering Connected to Manufacturing
A key highlight of the Rittal booth will be the presence of Eplan representatives, who will demonstrate how digital engineering data flows seamlessly from design software directly to automated wire processing equipment.
Eplan experts will show how engineering data can be used to drive both the RAS Wire Terminal Machine and the Brady Wraptor system—creating a consistent, data-driven workflow that reduces rework, errors, and time spent on manual data entry.
Eplan Software Demonstrations: Cable proD and Harness proD
In addition to machine integration, Eplan will also showcase advanced planning and design software focused on cable and harness production:
- Eplan Cable proD enables accurate cable planning, documentation, and routing. By defining cable lengths and paths digitally, manufacturers can improve material utilization and ensure production-ready documentation.
- Eplan Harness proD provides a powerful 3D environment for harness design and documentation. It supports collaboration between engineering and manufacturing, helping teams reduce development time and improve overall product quality.
Together, these tools illustrate how a strong digital foundation supports automated production—connecting design, planning, and manufacturing into one efficient process.
