The Friedhelm Loh Group has been awarded the “Best Place to Learn” seal of approval for its in-house training.

With companies like Rittal, Eplan, Cideon, German Edge Cloud, Stahlo, LKH and Loh Services, the Friedhelm Loh Group offers excellent opportunities for gaining a foothold in the future through high-quality training. A survey of young professionals and trainers has now confirmed this. The “Best Place to Learn” certification shows that up-to-date training with excellent career prospects is being offered.

“Training young people matters to us because they represent the company’s future. That’s why we are even more pleased to receive confirmation that we offer high-quality training. We are proud to be a ‘Best Place to Learn’,” says Matthias Hecker, the Friedhelm Loh Group’s Head of Training.

Survey on seven quality areas

The “Best Place to Learn” is a seal of approval for in-company training and is awarded by the company AUBI-plus GmbH. Certification follows a process of evaluation based on a scientifically sound quality plan. It was developed in cooperation with researchers at the University of Bremen from the fields of training excellence, as well as the development of quality and expertise in vocational education and training. The companies participating receive the seal of approval, which is recognised throughout Germany and across industries, based exclusively on representative participation rates.

During the survey, the target groups evaluated a total of seven quality areas: The recruitment and induction of trainees, the planning and content of training courses, vocational learning in the company, the expertise of the training staff and cooperation between the learning locations, as well as results of the training and its outlook. The Friedhelm Loh Group impressed in all these areas.

Young people are the company’s future

The importance of on-the-job training for the Group can be seen, for example, in the Haiger training centre, which is firmly anchored as a central place of learning in the Friedhelm Loh Group’s training system. The place where the skilled workers of tomorrow are learning how people and machinery can work together in digitally assisted processes. To this end, a part of their training involves working at Rittal’s adjacent Industry 4.0 plant, considered the world’s most state-of-the-art production plants for small and compact enclosures, a work experience placement that provides the best conditions to help shape the future.
