As a company with a leading position in global competition, Rittal is one of the “German Standards – Best of German Industry”. This is the name of the award recently presented by the “ZEIT” publishing group; Rittal is one of the 52 medium-sized industrial companies so honoured.
“This is where people get things done instead of having endless discussions. This is where people focus on the opportunities and learn from their mistakes. This is not a place run by worriers, but by responsible, innovative and risk-taking entrepreneurs,” writes publisher Florian Langenscheidt in his foreword to the book, published by the ZEIT publishing group to mark the “German Standards – Best of German Industry” award: “If there were no businesses, there would be no jobs, no economy, no pensions, and no social security or child benefits.” The recognition of entrepreneurial activity and its significance for the economy and society is why Rittal and other medium-sized companies have now been given an exceptional stage.
“We are very grateful to take on this task within medium-sized industrial companies and society. It is a privilege for us to bear this responsibility, and it is also our goal for the future,” says Markus Asch, CEO of Rittal International and Rittal Software Systems.
The ZEIT publishing group especially honours the award winners with a large work of reference in which the companies are portrayed in detail. It aims to highlight the importance of these companies for Germany as a business location and to show that some of the most innovative companies are often located in the more rural regions of the country. According to the book, it is often the medium-sized companies located outside the big cities that create and secure jobs and ensure that our society can prosper and act in a socially responsible manner.
