Skills shortages, time pressure, and a lack of digitalisation and sub-standard systems performance – these are some of the complex complications and concerns confronting the panel building and switchgear manufacturing sector. These challenges call for solutions that simplify processes – rather than make things even more confusing and problematical. The secret lies in smart automation.
From 25 to 27 November 2025, Rittal, Eplan and Rittal Automation Systems will be demonstrating at SPS how you can use comprehensive and seamless end-to-end, AI-driven solutions to continuously improve your processes. Visit us at Booth 321 in Hall 3C and discover first-hand how we can make your systems AI-ready – from engineering through to service. Because companies that want to continue being successful, need to act now. “Automation – Do it.”

This innovative 60 mm busbar is a manufacturer-neutral power distribution platform that makes planning up to 30% quicker and assembly up to 75% faster, too. RiLineX is a universal solution that can be used for AC and DC applications, making it a key driver of the energy transition – a technical innovation to take the industry into the age of the “all-electric society”.
Thanks to the globally unique hybrid technology of Blue e+, one active and one passive cooling circuit can work either independently or in tandem, depending on the temperature difference. This enables an average energy saving of 75% compared with conventional cooling systems. By significantly reducing your carbon footprint, you are one step closer to becoming climate-neutral.
Software – smart engineering using end-to-end data
With Eplan, you can speed up your entire electrical engineering processes. With the help of high-quality component data and a holistic engineering platform with future AI-supported functions, you can create digital twins – the perfect basis for seamless, end-to-end automated manufacture – in a matter of seconds. The benefits for you are fewer errors and shorter project lead times!
Cideon ensures the smooth and continuous integration of your CAD, PLM and ERP systems, creating consistent and uninterrupted data flows across your engineering processes. Besides providing the basis for efficient team-working and well-informed decision making, this pool of data also opens up the potential for future AI applications. The benefits for you are less time and effort, greater system and data transparency and maximum efficiency!

The key focal points for Eplan in Nuremberg will be its new product portfolio and the Eplan Platform 2026 – The Benchmark, Redefined. The new version of the platform systematically puts the benefits for you centre stage. It also simplifies your processes, making them more efficient and consistent – from the initial concept, engineering and manufacturing through to commissioning and service.
Using the digital model of a machine, Eplan Cable proD can define machine cabling and thus installation routes as early as the engineering phase. This means cable lengths are established early on, appropriate pre-assembled cables can be ordered sooner, and last-minute changes can largely be avoided – all of which saves time and ensures planning confidence.
At our booth, you can see for yourself how Eplan is putting artificial intelligence and the Product Change Notification (PCN) process into practice. In the case of PCN, this involves an Eplan demonstrator. These key advances will make your everyday operations even smarter and more efficient.
Automation – efficient automation solutions for an optimised value chain
Together, Rittal, Eplan and Rittal Automation Systems offer you a unique environment and a platform for AI-driven industrial automation. Combining networked data, professional engineering solutions and smart processes, this seamless end-to-end system understands, thinks ahead and adapts flexibly as needed. The benefits for you are shorter throughput times, enhanced process quality and significantly lower total operating costs!

This electric bending machine automates the high-precision machining of busbars, with a bending accuracy of 0.2°. The low-maintenance and highly energy-efficient electric drive operates extremely quietly, even during bending operations. What’s more, seamless data integration speeds up panel building and switchgear manufacturing work, while also improving process reliability.
Service – smart tools for rapid support and smooth processes
Rittal and Eplan are reimagining service activities – as an integral part of an end-to-end system that networks data, processes and people intelligently. With a clear focus on availability, transparency and speed, they are laying the foundations for proactive, AI-driven maintenance and smooth operations. The benefits for you are reduced downtimes, greater scope and smart service.
Service highlights
This digital wiring plan pocket ensures the digital availability of machine and system documentation at all times. Besides saving paper and reducing printing costs, it also speeds up planning and commissioning, as well as panel building and switchgear manufacturing services. Always having up-to-date documentation cuts down on errors and ensures everyone involved in the project has the same information.
The idea behind the Project viewer (formerly eView) is to implement engineering review processes digitally. Simply scan the QR code on the enclosure and its digital twin is displayed. This makes it easier for you to find your way around the enclosure and means you can locate the components you are looking for even faster. What’s more, maintenance and servicing documentation is paperless and always up to date.
Campaigns with an experience factor – experience the benefits live
Interactive. Informative. Inspiring. At our exhibition stand in Hall 3C, Booth 321, you can expect numerous hands-on activities that will give you a direct and tangible understanding of the specific benefits of our solutions – tailored to your challenges in control cabinet construction, automation and service.

CW 120-S – Your entry into copper busbar machining
Punching, bending, cutting – get hands-on with the CW 120-S. The two stationary units show you how precisely and efficiently busbars can be machined. You work with a hydraulic foot switch, integrated laser marking and an electric angle gauge – and experience first-hand how easy it can be to get started with busbar machining. Compact, flexible and with consistently high quality.
ESPC Smart Mounting – Mounting and wiring with digital assistance
With the Eplan Smart Production assistance system, you can experience how the work steps involved in switch enclosure construction and wiring are being revolutionised. You can carry out the installation yourself right at the stand: components are scanned, placed on the top-hat rail and wired – supported by intuitive 3D visualisation. The software shows you exactly where each component belongs and how the wiring must be done. You will be guided through the process step by step. See for yourself how you can increase your efficiency and improve collaboration between engineering and manufacturing.
In the service area, we demonstrate how quickly and efficiently faults can be rectified – thanks to augmented reality. Using AR glasses, you can carry out remote repairs on a chiller yourself, accompanied by an expert. This digital support saves valuable time and shows how modern service processes increase your plant availability.
Our booth also has something special to offer future colleagues: in the Human Resources area, you can design your own Rittal Hero action figure – AI-supported and completely customised. This gives you the opportunity to talk to our employees and gain creative insight into your potential career paths at the Friedhelm Loh Group.
