Reliable power supply in the data centre – with Rittal ABB UPS systems

slide left slide right

Rittal ABB UPS systems

  • Optimum integration of ABB UPS systems into the modular Rittal RiMatrix IT infrastructure system
  • An entire series of battery cases for the modular UPS range in the Rittal TS 8 enclosure

  • A broad spectrum of battery configurations
  • Optimum solutions to meet a range of autonomy requirements

The technology – Simple, modular solutions for an uninterruptible power supply

Critical loads need to be protected with the very best UPS design. The UPS from ABB has been carefully designed to optimise availability and total cost of ownership (TCO), and is based on a complete redundancy concept. Each UPS module has all the hardware and software needed for autonomous operation.

All critical components are available in each individual module, thereby eliminating weak points altogether.

ABB calls this modular approach decentralised parallel architecture (DPA™).

“Only a genuinely redundant architecture like DPA allows switched modules to be replaced whilst operational”.

HIGH AVAILABILITY

  • Redundant UPS systems – UPS modules may be replaced whilst operational
  • Reliable scalability of the UPS
  • Increased reliability because there is no “single point of failure”
  • Uses the best topology – completely autonomous UPS modules
  • Progressive module technology, thanks to its low weight and compact design

LOW TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP

  • Optimised investments – Pay as you grow
  • Optimised battery performance – Low energy consumption, high efficiency
  • Space-saving – High energy density
  • Maximum performance and high reliability, thanks to double conversion
  • Reduced installation and maintenance costs with a standardised servicing concept

PRECISE-FIT MODELS

  • Individual solutions – with or without internal battery
  • 482.6 mm (19”) rack-mountable, modular solutions available off the shelf
  • Modular solutions in the medium and high output range for data centres
  • Matching battery cases for extended autonomy
  • Intelligent monitoring of the power supply
