Mastering the challenges of energy transition

‘Energy Flash’ – the energy industry’s online business talk

The tasks of energy transition are too complex to be solved alone. Global climate change can only be stopped by sharing experiences and through partnerships, joint efforts and smart platforms.

In the Energy Flash online talk, Raphael Görner offers energy sector and digitalisation experts a platform for exchanging experience and sharing knowledge and know-how.

Interested viewers are involved in the debate so that lively discussions, inputs and ideas arise. A livestream as a combination of news programmes, workshops, interviews and discussion sessions: authentic, open and energetic.

How the digital twin is driving the expansion of grids and charging infrastructure

Energy Flash No. 6 – on 14 November 2023 at 4 p.m. CEST
Live from the tradeshow SPS in Nürnberg

The rapid and efficient expansion of the power grids infrastructure is one of the most important building blocks of the energy transition. This calls for a large number of intelligent substations and transformer stations worldwide that support the new, decentralised energy systems. At the same time, the expansion of the charging infrastructure must be implemented directly so that energy reaches consumers on demand.

The interesting question of how we can advance expansion more efficiently in order to get the electricity to the points of consumption more quickly, while at the same time ensuring reliability, is the topic of the next Energy Flash. Raphael Görner and his guests Lars Niemtschke, Consulting Energy at Eplan, and Sebastian Schriek, Manager Product Management High Power Systems at PHOENIX CONTACT, discuss about approaches and solutions for shortening project lead times and simplifying subsequent maintenance.

How can standardisation help avoid starting every project from scratch? Can pre-engineered standard projects serve as a basis that can be adapted to the individual requirements of the network topology? How can we take account of the increasing e-mobility and make electricity available quickly at many decentralised points?

What options are there to speed up production and assembly? How can efficient maintenance and repair be ensured?

Especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers, simple and reliable solutions are required that lead to greater efficiency in all process steps. Find out what options Rittal’s and Eplan’s “Base Solutions” with smart components, for example from Phoenix Contact, offer you. Learn how you can use a digital twin to accelerate all processes from engineering to construction to maintenance and ensure simple yet more precise implementation.

We look forward to seeing you – live at SPS and in our stream! Join us on 14 November 2023 at 4 p.m. CEST.
